Keys Relied Upon…

An unoccupied space in which we (wife & I) were dwelling in of the vacancy for change. Somewhat resistant but embraced. We had to be emptied before each other, no clutter, no bs, no expectations, just empty & transparent.

When my wife and I were traveling a lot during this time of our lives it was weird why we were always staying in hotel rooms of the combination of numbers 408, 448, 400, 804, etc.

I ended up creating a theme based upon this utilizing the number within the painting while doing the illustration of unlocking a doorway as a metaphorical way of silently illustrating the power of communication, submission, & forgiving to each other that would be the mechanism of how the door would be unlocked of embracing & evolving with each other’s future together.

Overview & Substance

Would you get my analogy through this visual, probably not?

However, it was fun to crank out and have some fun while getting some artwork on the walls of our studio that desperately needed color.

Just a self-play project of sorts in learning while getting dirty.
